4. Application
- The IP65 luminaire is suitable for outdoor use and for dusty or humid indoor environments.
- It must not be installed in or under water!
5. Safety notice
- Electrical work must always be carried out by a qualified electrician.
- The luminaire is protection class I; the protective earth (PE) must be connected.
- Do not expose the luminaire to mechanical stress, high (> 60 °C) or low (< −20 °C) temperatures, direct sunlight or strong vibration.
- Never install or operate it where explosive or flammable gases, vapours or dusts may be present – risk of fire and explosion!
- In commercial facilities, observe the accident prevention regulations for electrical systems and equipment.
- Switch off the power before installation or removal. Never touch the luminaire while it is switched on.
- For safety and approval (CE) reasons, disassembly and/or modification of the luminaire is not permitted and voids the warranty.
- In case of failure, disconnect the luminaire from the mains supply and do not attempt to repair it yourself – repairs may only be carried out by a qualified technician.
- The luminaire contains built-in LEDs that cannot be replaced. Never look directly into the light!
6. Mounting
- Tools required: drill with 6 mm bit, flat and Phillips screwdriver, safety glasses, gloves.
- Accessories: 2 mounting clips, 4 wall plugs, 4 screws.
- Mounting hole distance: A = 1120 mm, B = 26/40 mm.
- Drill the holes, fix the clips, wire the luminaire (see section 7), then snap the luminaire into the clips.
7. Wiring
| Luminaire terminal | Wire colour | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| N | blue | neutral |
| PE (⏚) | green/yellow | protective earth |
| L | brown | live (permanent supply, battery charging) |
| L' | black | switched live (lamp operation) |
| – | grey | to switch (option 3) |
(1) No connection between L and L' – non-maintained mode. With mains power on, the luminaire does not light and the battery is being charged. If the mains fails, the luminaire gives out 300 lm from the battery for 3 hours. Use 3-core rubber cable H05RN-F 3×1.0 mm² / H07RN-F 3×1.0 mm² (do not use PVC cable). Connect: brown → L, blue → N, green/yellow → PE.
(2) Fixed short wire between L and L' – maintained mode. With mains power on, the luminaire gives full light (6100 lm) continuously and the battery is being charged. If the mains fails, it gives out 300 lm from the battery for 3 hours. 3-core rubber cable, connection as in (1).
(3) Switch between L and L' – switchable operation. The luminaire works in maintained mode when the switch is on and in non-maintained mode when the switch is off. Use 5-core rubber cable H05RN-F 5×1.0 mm² / H07RN-F 5×1.0 mm². Connect: brown → L, blue → N, green/yellow → PE; connect the black and grey wires to a switch, then the black wire to L and the grey wire to L'.
Notes: the green/yellow wire must be longer than the other wires. Do not strip the wire ends too long (max. 8 mm) to avoid short circuits. To ensure IP65, tighten the cable gland nut with at least 3 Nm. The installer is responsible for professional installation.
8. Disposal
Waste electrical products and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. At the end of its life, hand in the luminaire and its built-in Ni-Cd battery at a collection point according to the applicable regulations. Ask your local authority or retailer for advice.
