Returns, withdrawal and exchanges

1. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you buy as a consumer (a natural person acting outside your trade, business or profession), you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving any reason. If items are delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item. You may also withdraw between concluding the contract and receiving the goods.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement by e-mail or post (see contact details below). You may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, but this is not obligatory. The deadline is met if you send your statement before the 14-day period expires. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal by e-mail without delay.

2. Returning the goods

  • Please send the goods back within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal to: Kaito-Hungary Kft., 2046 Törökbálint, DEPO Raktárváros, Pf. 66., Hungary.
  • The cost of returning the goods is borne by the buyer. You will not incur any other costs as a result of the withdrawal.
  • We cannot accept parcels sent cash on delivery.
  • Please return the goods, where possible, in their original packaging with all accessories, packed carefully, and include your order number.

3. Refunds

  • We will refund all payments received from you, including the original standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. If you chose a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer, the additional cost will not be refunded.
  • We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied proof of having sent them, whichever is earlier.
  • We will use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise; you will not incur any fees as a result.
  • You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

4. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

  • Goods made to the buyer's specifications or clearly personalised, including goods cut to size (e.g. cable or LED strip cut to length).
  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
  • Goods which, by their nature, are inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.

5. Business customers (non-consumers)

Companies, sole traders and other customers buying for business purposes do not have a right of withdrawal without reason. Faultless goods can only be returned with our prior written agreement. For defective goods, warranty rights apply as set out in section 6.

6. Defective, damaged or wrong items

  • If you receive an item that is defective, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, please notify us without delay after discovering the problem, with photos and your order number. We will replace, repair or take back the item free of charge, including the return shipping cost.
  • Under the Hungarian Civil Code, statutory warranty claims can be made within 2 years of delivery for consumers and within 1 year for business customers. Your statutory product liability and mandatory guarantee rights remain unaffected.
